Report on educational project “Our Chennai” during 20th & 21st Century
On 18th November 2022 the annual educational Project on “Our Chennai” during 20th & 21st century was celebrated in our school premises.
Chief Guest Mrs. Umamageshwari, Founder,Flying Rainbow Creative Art Center, inaugurated the Project day.
A cultural programme was presented by our students. The topic “Our Chennai” was introduced in the form of Villupaattu and a dance &conversation between friends also presented as a cultural part of the program. The Chief Guest in her address appreciated the students and teachers.
The Students of different classes displayed their Project work in different ways with specific topics as follows.
Std I&II – (Role Play) Great Personality of Chennai,( Born in Chennai, Resident of Chennai) and Earlier & Present name of the places.
Std III & IV – Memorial & Monuments.
Std V –Transport
Std VI to VIII –Education, Art &Culture, Industries and Sports.
Std IX & X –History of Chennai, Administration in Chennai & Places of Worship.
Model of Ripon Building, Railwaystation, Marudheeswarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, Santhome Church, Triplicane Big Mosque,Musical instruments &Stadium, envinced their skills. It was enjoyable to the parents too.
Presence of Swami Eswaranandhaji for the inaugural day graced the function.
Valedictory of the project was held on 19th November.
Chief Guest Mrs.Indujayanthi Varma –Founder & Director Tapasya kala Sampradaya visited the projects of our students and distributed the certificates for the students participated in the project. K.Thiya of class X proposed the vote of thanks.
Mr.D.Ayyappan, student of Swamiji visited the projects and appreciated the students. Our Administrator, Sri S.R.K.Murthy graced the occasion by his presence and praised the students’ and teachers’ hard work.
Suddhananda Vidyalaya Ammapettai and Ramana Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School visited the Project display.
On the whole, this Educational project was more informative and was an enjoyable learning opportunity for children & for all the visitors to know about their city. Especially, the children from class 1 & 2 won the hearts of each one visited the project, by their amazing presentation.
