Inauguration of ASPA
A long time dream of ours has become true. Akshar School of Performing Arts (ASPA) classes has been introduced in 2015-16. It has been mandatory from the students from class V to X, with the option of selecting any one of 1. Classical music 2. Bharathanatyam 3.Mridangam. 4. Karate. Throughout the year the children will learn on Tuesdays during school hours. Inaugural function of ASPA was held on 13.6.15. Faculty members of ASPA classes Kalaimamani. Ms. Sailaja, Founder Sailasudha (Bharathanatyam & Kuchupudi artist), Musician Sri.Meenaktshisundaram, Mridanga vidwans Mr. Akshay& Mr. Anoop ( Students of Kalaimamani Karaikudi Mani Iyer )and Karate Master. Mr. Thulasi lit the kuthuvilakku & inaugurated ASPA.
Now, the Faculty members of ASPA are, Bharathanatyam- Ms. Srisudharshini, Student of Kalakshethra, Musician Sri .Meenaktshisundaram, Mridangavidwan Mr. Rishi Iyer( Student of KalaimamaniKaraikudi Mani Iyer )and Karate Master. Mr.Thulasi.
Performances of ASPA students
The students of Music, Dance & Mridangam classes of ASPA, made their parents feel happy & proud by performing in our Annual cultural festival, Suddahnanda Kala Sagar since 2017. [This kala Utsav is the Annual Music cum Dance festival organized by Akshar Educational Trust since from 2008. This is mainly for our school children to motivate them as we invite the budding artists and open for the people of neighborhood to have a taste of real traditional art forms like classical music & dance, which is the rare opportunity for them.]
Achievement of ASPA students
We are very happy to place a record of the achievement of our ASPA students in Grade certificate examination conducted by Annamalai University for Music , Dance & Mirdangam.
