Report on 76th Independence Day Celebration

The Independence Day is a day to honour and thank the great leaders of India who fought for the freedom of our country and reiterate our solidarity to our country. 76th Independence Day was celebrated in the school premises with patriotic feelings.


Girls Games Captain k. Sharmathi welcomed the gathering.


The principal introduced our Chief Guest and our Administrator, Sri.S.R.K.Murthy, honoured our chief guest and handed over the memento as a token of love and affection.


Chief guest Mr.D.Ayyappan Student of Swamiji, Senior Assistant, The New India Assurance Co.Ltd, hoisted the National Flag.

The students of Akshar School of Performing Arts (ASPA) sang the patriotic songs. The investiture ceremony for the students’ leaders was held followed by the cultural programme. Pattern display by class V and VI entertained the audience. A drama ‘A Man with Loin Cloth’ enacted by the students from class VI to X. V.Harini of class VIII delivered the speech about Independence Day.


K. Elangathir of class VII delivered a speech on “விடுதலை ப ோரிை் தமிழரின் ங்கு”. A Tamil drama “சுதந்திர ப ோரோட்டத்திை் தமிழரின் ங்கு” was enacted by our students from class II to VIII. Role play was presented by our students from class II to V. Our senior students presented a group dance and received the great applause from the gathering. Chief Guest distributed the certificate for the winners of the “யோவரும் பேளீர்” conducted by “யோவரும் பேளீர் திறன் வளர் சங்ேம்” and appreciated them. Also, in his address he congratulated all the performers of the day.

Sri.S.R.K.Murthy, Administrator, Smt.Vijaya Murthy, Director of the school graced the occasion by their presence.
Parents and ashram inmates witnessed the programme.
We felt very proud as the Chief Guest of the Independence Day celebration is from lineage of the great freedom fighter ே ் ை் ஓட்டிய தமிழன் வ. உ. சிதம் ரம் பிள்லள.


K. Thiya of class X rendered the Vote of Thanks and the new SPL received the sweets from the guest. The same was distributed to all the parents and children.


The celebration concluded with the prayer. The spirit of patriotism filled the atmosphere.
